About This Skill
What it does
The Best Minds skill enables an AI agent to synthesize expert opinions and generate comprehensive solutions by simulating the perspectives of leading figures in a given field. Instead of directly asking for the AI's opinion, this skill identifies individuals who are considered the most knowledgeable on a specific topic and then simulates their responses based on their publicly available writings, speeches, and ideas. The goal is to produce nuanced answers grounded in established expertise.
When to use it
- When seeking well-reasoned perspectives on complex issues where multiple viewpoints exist.
- To generate solutions that incorporate insights from leading experts across various domains.
- When needing a more robust and credible answer than a general LLM response can provide.
- For situations requiring nuanced understanding beyond simple keyword matching.
Key capabilities
- Identifies the most knowledgeable individuals ("strongest") to address a given question, rather than simply finding suitable experts.
- Simulates responses based on publicly available information (writings, speeches, etc.) from those identified experts.
- Prioritizes using direct quotes and statements made by the simulated expert whenever possible.
- Distinguishes itself from skills like "ai-coaches" by sourcing experts globally rather than relying on a pre-defined set of 13 individuals.
Example prompts
- “What are the key challenges facing renewable energy adoption, and who are the leading voices discussing them?”
- “Simulate what [specific expert's name] would say about the future of artificial intelligence.”
- "I need to understand the arguments for and against universal basic income. Who are the most informed individuals on this topic, and what do they say?"
Tips & gotchas
- The skill’s effectiveness depends on the availability of public information from relevant experts.
- It is designed to simulate existing viewpoints; it does not generate novel ideas or predictions beyond what those experts have publicly expressed.
- Consider specifying a particular expert's name if you want the AI agent to focus on their perspective.
