About This Skill
What it does
The Good Writing Zh skill refines Chinese text to improve its clarity, fluency, and stylistic elegance. It focuses on sentence structure optimization and rhythm polishing, rather than addressing AI-generated phrasing or translation artifacts. When used in conjunction with the "humanizer-tw" skill (first for removing machine-like qualities, then followed by this skill), it helps produce polished and natural-sounding Chinese content.
When to use it
- To improve the flow and rhythm of existing Chinese text.
- After using a translation tool, to refine the language and make it more idiomatic.
- When writing new Chinese content, to ensure adherence to stylistic guidelines.
- To polish technical documentation or other formal written materials in Chinese.
- As part of a workflow that first removes AI-generated characteristics (using "humanizer-tw") before refining the rhythm and style.
Key capabilities
- Rhythm Rules: Enforces rules regarding sentence length (maximum 20 characters between punctuation marks), sentence variation, and appropriate sentence endings (nouns, verbs, or particles).
- Rewriting Techniques: Includes methods for removing redundant words ("的" repetition, "進行/實施/加以"), breaking down long sentences, eliminating unnecessary introductory phrases, and converting weak verb constructions to stronger ones.
- Workflow Modes: Supports three modes: diagnosing and planning revisions for existing text, automatically applying rules during writing, and a conservative mode (conservat).
- Diagnosis & Planning Output: In the "diagnosis" phase, it identifies issues such as long sentences, repeated phrases, and weak verb constructions. The "planning" phase then outlines strategies for revision.
Example prompts
- “Please refine this Chinese text: [insert Chinese text here]”
- “Rewrite this paragraph in a more fluent style: [insert Chinese text here]”
- “Analyze this document for rhythm and sentence structure issues: [insert Chinese text here]”
Tips & gotchas
- For best results, use "humanizer-tw" before applying Good Writing Zh to remove any AI-generated or translated phrasing.
- The skill focuses on rhythm and style; it's not designed to correct grammatical errors or factual inaccuracies.
- Long sentences (over 30 characters) are discouraged but can be allowed with proper punctuation for tightly connected clauses, parallel structures, or technical terms.
